ORGASM

Had a trying day? There’s nothing like an “Orgasm” to smooth out the rough edges. This is the simplest recipe I know of for an Orgasm, and my personal favorite.

Ingredients

3/4 oz Bailey’s® Irish cream
3/4 oz Amaretto Di Saronno®

Mixing Instructions

Fill a cocktail shaker half full with ice cubes. Pour in the Amaretto and Irish cream. Shake! Strain into a highball glass. (This is yummy on the rocks too!)

Now, light some candles, turn on Josh Turner singing “Your Man”, and ooooooh, oooooh, oooooh!

Spirited Hot Mocha

Since there are several NFL playoff games this cold weekend and many of you will be having parties, I thought it might be fun to have a crockpot simmering with this warm, comforting drink.  Go Team!

SPIRITED HOT MOCHA

Ingredients
8  cups  milk
1  cup  (6-ounce package) semisweet chocolate mini-morsels or 6 (1-ounce) semisweet chocolate baking squares, chopped
1/2  cup  powdered sugar
1/4  cup  instant coffee granules
1  cup  brandy
Sweetened whipped cream (optional)
Grated semisweet chocolate (optional)

Preparation
Combine first 5 ingredients in a 4-quart slow cooker.

Cover and cook on LOW 4 to 5 hours or until thoroughly heated and chocolate is melted, whisking after 2 hours. Whisk before serving. Serve with sweetened whipped cream and grated chocolate, if desired.

You can serve this spiked favorite straight from the slow cooker.

Makes about 10 cups.

Blueberry Limoncellos

Blueberry Limoncellos - Lemonade can be substituted for the limoncello!

1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
3 tbsp. simple syrup (recipe below) or sugar
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup chilled limoncello liqueur or lemonade (regular or sparkling)
3/4 to 1 cup chilled club soda or sparkling water

In a blender, blend blueberries, simple syrup, and lemon juice with just enough limoncello to make a smooth slush. (For a firmer slush, pour into a small bowl and freeze for up to 2 hours.) .
Divide berry slush among 4 tall glasses (8 to 12oz. size), add equal portions limoncello; fill with club soda. Garnish with fresh berries on skewers; swizzle as you sip

Simple Syrup: Combine equal parts water and sugar. Stir over heat and bring to a boil.  Cool to room temperature before using.

You can also prepare part of this recipe up to two weeks ahead of  when you plan to use it.  Just  put the slush in a resealable freezer bag, seal, and freeze. To use, let stand at room temperature a few minutes to soften slightly.
